This is Luther.

He is not yet a H7HT member.

He went fishing the other day.

It's a Steelhead I think. 29"

It's OK, I'm still a better hunter than he is.

But boy can he sell socks!

Nice job Luther.

Things in my neighborhood.

Downtown Kellogg:
Sure times are tough but I'm confident that the Police station and Library will soon be open again. Just as soon as the Census 2010 money comes rolling in.....

Actually these are images from the Hecla Mine just down the road a piece outside of Burke, ID. It's now a ghost town and sports some amazing old infrastructure including a townsite and many old homes that lined the canyon down to the valley. Silver and Lead Ore came from the mine and it was part of a huge labor rebellion back in the day that took federal troops to settle but not before the miners burned part of the operation down. Now it is just like you see here, a bunch of creepy old buildings and ruins. Cool eh?

A new find.....

Guess what I found while looking under the kitchen sink in the new cabin? It turns out we have a full basement complete with a giant vault. Even better, it's loaded with guns already! Imagine my surprise when I opened the cellar door. I was lead to believe that there was only a concrete slab that the cabin sits on, not a giant vault. The military theme to the contents leads me to believe that my cabin was somehow a hub for the U.S. Resistance Army that protected us from the 30's / 40's invasion of Green headed Mallards form Canada. ( Note the machine guns, especially useful against the Ninja Mallards )

Actually these pictures come to us from the Brother. He claims that this is the very same gun room owned by the Late Great Charlton Heston. Of course Heston's gun room would have only the finest weapons and I'm sure he had many more such vaults hidden throughout his property. In them he must have stored the collective knowledge of the universe, knowledge he used to keep us protected from enemies Foreign and Domestic. Thank you Lord Heston and thanks to the Brother for bringing this to our attention. I will start construction on my Gun Vault soon, very soon.

I don't understand the meaning of this. There are tables purely for folding?

New Digs

Sorry folks it's been a while since I have made a post to the H7HT Blog but lots of things have been happening in the great state of Idaho in the last few weeks. The most important of which has been the addition of a new home for the DaFolder family. Wells Fargo has made a healthy sized mistake and guaranteed a loan for a new Log Cabin. It's made of logs! Thanks Wells Fargo, I knew somehow having Flemke work there would warp your views on lending. Anyway the move is complete and years of remodeling and yard projects await.

I am posting a couple pictures of the cabin. One of the exterior and one of the logs on the inside of the cabin. If you squint real hard the outside looks just like the one you built out of Lincoln Logs as a kid! The inside one is to show how the logs looked before we painted them mauve and bright yellow, a color combination all the best homes are using today. Thanks in advance for the housewarming gifts. Just send them to:

Cool ass Log Cabin
Idaho.

I'll be posting more soon now that the interweb is hooked up and as I explore my new surroundings. Thanks to Fred G. and his inform
ational piece on cooking things that grow in poo. I hear the offers from ABC, NBC, FOX, CBS, The Food Network and the Pay per View Porn channel have been pouring in. Good luck with that decision. Of course I wonder what our old friend Cliffy has been up to? We all know his posting rights were granted this season and I'm sure he has a story or two for us. What gives Cliffy?

Informational Update

Yep, Bob D. has been skiing and living the good life in Northern Idaho. Here are some pictures of my own personal ski area just out the door of my own personal job. Read them and weep 9 to 5ers.

I wonder what my other teammates are up to? Maybe they have forgotten about the H7HT blog, but not me. Remember we need to be vigilant in our defense of America against the incoming tide of dangerous and unethical green headed ducks. Without our constant supervision before you know it YOUR freedom may be taken away by one of these winged troublemakers.

Biathalon

I think this sport would get better coverage if they shot greenies on each lap.

Congratulations to Jeremy Teela on finishing in 9th place. Let's try harder next time, eh Jeremy?

That Crazy Andy Update.......

Hello from Goa,
I hope your doing well.
Kevin has got me on quite a fast pace...but fun. We left Mysore and arrived in Hassan to visit a few temples....very nice, but after a few temples they all start to look the same to me.

The people can be a little difficult sometimes....very pushy and rude.....I have learned to fight for my space in line...otherwise someone will likely push ahead......difficult to get used to!

But now we are in Goa...and the attitude is much friendlier....and the beaches are nice.....well nice...but a bit overdone...with tourists and shacks in most of the areas. We have found an area farther south and living in a house next to a beach with a local family......very nice family!

The room is 400 rupees or a little over 4 dollars a night....just a room with a fan...very simple. I use a plastic bucket with water to bath...using a smaller pail to pour the cold water over myself.....but the setting is so nice....right on the beach. This morning I had a cup of coffee after running along beautiful roads and palm trees and kids walking to school. The lagoon follows the road inland and the palm trees with the sun rising was really nice. For breakfast...we ate with the beach steps away and cows walking on the beach in front of the little bamboo overhang where we ate. Cows are sacred and hang out all over the place....but can be a little bit of a nuisance. The owner of the guesthouse was shooing away the cow as it tried to get into the kitchen of the house.

We came into town and some of the bigger beaches today....but are looking forward to retreating back to the peace of our little beach. Tonight there may be turtles hatching from the next beach down from us.....it only occurs once a year and during a full moon....so I am crossing my fingers to actually see them come out from the sand and run down to the water.

Goa is really a series of beaches and towns...so we will be here for another 10 days.

Once again...I hope you're all well,
andy

Fred G. Master of camoflage.

lookin for the one they call Eazy

But here's a flash, they never sees me

Ruthless! Never seen like a shadow in the dark

except when I unload, see I'll get over the hesitation

and hear the scream of the one who got the lead penetration

My Year in a Nutshell

Shells- $25.00
Whikey- $75.00
H7HT Member- PRICELESS!

Well, this year was not so hot for myself. As I witnessed skyblasting, and well, blank skies today, I reflected on all the missed opportunities that could have put me into the teams record books. Today was truly a sad, yet, happy day. I hunted with Fred G. and saw him not earn the Expert title. However, with the falling of a comrade, emerged a man who has not had the title in years. Congratulations Bob. You're folding skills were to much for our Oregonian efforts. You are truly the forgotten son of Heston. With 0 kills on the season (wiping my tears), I hope CH will grace me with a fantastic winter steelhead season. More to follow................

It all comes down to this.....

With the "Expert" title clearly in hand I must take this opportunity to wish the other members of the HOY7 Hunting Team good luck this coming Sunday. They will attempt to take my title away by shooting to kill. Once again, 'good luck'.

As you may know I recently returned from the great state of Oregon where I had traveled to visit with my old friend and team member Fred G. We were able to hunt three consecutive days and planed to make the best of them because the season in Oregon is quickly coming to an end. The first day we were off to the Old New spot, an easy walk and good opener. We hiked out early and set up just as the sun broke the horizon. Of course we know the Old New spot better than any other hunters ans were able to secure the best spot by crossing a waist high water bar and traveling around to the far side. With the wind at our backs and the sun behind us as well we knew our spot was the best.

It took the better part of the day but some ducks did finally fly into our spread. I wasted no time in folding the Merganser that tried fly by. Unfortunately that was the only real action of the day. The picture below shows how gorgeous of a day it was out on the mighty Columbia and the duck that brought my "Expert" total to 6 ducks, an almost insurmountable lead. Stay tuned to hear about the rest of our days.

Why Machine?

I know you all are asking who is this The Machine you speak of? Well it's the man of AKA's, Cliffy. I think with his new representation he should be called "The Machine". Not only has he all year drank more whikey every time out, but he finished mine last time out!!!! It's true, he has brought more than enough chokes and always had the full bottle, The Machine is his name and crushing is is game.
